Dermaplaning is a quick treatment that exfoliates off the top dead skin layer and fine peach fuzz hairs, called vellus hair, on the face. A specially designed scalpel is gently and safely used along the top layer of skin to remove dull dead skin and fine hairs.
It’s great for special occasions and pictures because it instantly gives your skin a smooth and silky appearance without any redness, swelling, or downtime. Skin appears brighter and refreshed right after the treatment is completed.
Because the skin is so smooth you will immediately notice that your make-up goes on smoother and more effectively. Your skin care will also be absorbed more readily with less product needing to be used. That’s why it’s a great mini rejuvenation for special events and pictures.
Nearly everyone is a candidate for this treatment as long as you do not have any open wounds or sores, or active outbreaks. Most of my clients find it to be a welcome relaxing break in their day. It can also be added on to many of my aesthetic treatments as the “icing on the cake” for that last little bit of perfection.
