Professional chemical peels are safe and beneficial when applied by a skin care expert using only professional, clinical grade products. This is why I use Allergan SkinMedica products in my office, which are only available to licensed medical professionals (such as Registered Nurses or Physicians). After examining your skin during a consultation, I determine your skin type and the peel best designed for your goals.
Chemical peels for the face are a great way to get your feet wet in professional medical aesthetic treatments, as they are available in multiple strengths to target different skin depths and are very affordable! Chemical peels improve minor skin imperfections such as fine lines, wrinkles, roughness, uneven pigmentation, and redness by gently exfoliating off the top superficial layers of skin. The newly exposed skin grows back more radiant, smooth, and uniform.
-
Illuminize: Illuminize your skin and accelerate skin exfoliation. Addresses skin imperfections such as skin ageing, sun exposure, wrinkles, and even skin tone.
- Vitalize: Smooths the appearance of your facial complexion. The renewal process stimulates collagen production, and improves pigmentation, acne, and melasma.
- Rejuvenize: Works exceptionally for moderate to severe skin imperfections. Used after the Vitalize peel to smooth the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and creases.
SkinMedica Chemical Peel
The process of renewing the skin through a chemical peel can vary from person to person and the type of peel selected. Each peel has different properties that allow it work at different skin depths. Typically my clients start with the lighter Illuminize peel and work up to the Rejuvenize peel as appropriate for their skin type. Peels are typically done in series of 3-6 treatments over several weeks to see the maximum benefit.
