I’ve been a registered nurse for over 14 years and have always worked in a hospital and always in pediatrics. I started in pediatric oncology and for the last 10 years, I have worked in the pediatric ICU. I have always loved it and still do. However, it’s a stressful job with minimal room for growth unless you want to move into hospital management. Which I don’t. I truly enjoy bedside nursing, working with patients, educating and using my assessment skills to be the first to know when something is wrong and thinking about what we are going to do about it.

Nurse injecting is very similar in that I get to work with each client individually. We talk about your concerns, I give my opinions, best treatment options, educate you on those options, and together we decide on a plan to optimize your own facial structure and improve, as well as take care of your skin.

After realizing I’m not getting any younger, I decided now would be a good time to start my own business. Going out on my own I opened Amanda’s Aesthetics and have been working hard to grow my clientele as well as continuously learning as much as I can about facial anatomy, skincare, and the different treatments medical aesthetics has to offer.

My background in critical care, especially pediatric critical care has given me knowledge of safety in medicine and how important facial anatomy and proper technique truly is. My aesthetic preference tends to be more of a natural enhancement, with the “more is not necessarily better” outlook. But I will work with my clients to ensure their goals are heard and met with safety in mind.

My favorite treatment is Botox as it truly decreases your pores and makes your skin glow, plus it eliminates lines and wrinkles! But a close second is lip filler and facial balancing.
